Payroll specialist


Description of the position: A Payroll Specialist is a professional who is responsible for processing all aspects of payroll, ensuring defect-free inputs including communication with payroll provider. Payroll Specialist work closely with different departments within all companies structure to increase performance and ensure smooth operations. Ability to utilize HRIS and payroll system with accuracy and efficiency. Data driven, comfortable with the numbers and MS Excel Main position responsibilities and objectives Consolidation of the time and attendance data, reporting on it and applying corrections Submit and report on allowances & deductions, communicate those with relevant departments (Finance, HR) Follow and maintain the standard of a proper approval from upper managements towards relevant payments Support Employees in tax related queries Benefit administration Preparation of ad-hoc reports based on the business need Closely collaborate with HR Generalist team to ensure quality and timeline for pay inputs Communicate with Employees and stakeholders on payroll related matters Participate and suggest process improvements Required / Desired qualifications Experience: 3+ years' experience in a similar role working with payroll and/or financial administration Education: A Degree in Finance/Accounting is preferred Knowledge: You’ll bring comprehensive understanding of payroll ‘best practices’, can explain a payslip in detail and know in reality how ’split payroll’ works. You'll have some experience with processing payroll at European countries besides Hungary. Data accuracy: You’ll be the go-to person for payroll issues, insurances, deductions, extra payments, etc. You love working with data/numbers and are very good at it. Excellent computer skills: including the use of Excel as an analytical and reporting tool. High-level financial and analytical skills. Confidence: You’ve done this before and you know where to find the right answers. This is a role for someone who’s excited about tackling complex questions. Outstanding Communication skills: in English and Hungarian. We appreciate as an advantage Romanian language skills You enjoy interdepartmental collaboration and working with all our employees.
